I love your podcast and this latest episode resonated with me so much (being a True Summer too). Later I was discussing colour with my friend who struggles to accept her SSu palette. I now wear mostly my TSu colours and it’s life changing my friend told me that despite of my ‘grey colours’ I am very noticeable in a big crowd of people, that I don’t look like a grey mouse but rather stand out. I told her that I believe if she was wearing her palette she would also not feel like a mouse, I tried to explain that it’s those bright colours she wears making her feel mousey, not her natural beauty. I think in time she’ll embrace it more
I wanted to ask about Christine’s book, is there any way of purchasing it in UK? Is love to buy it, I just love SciART

Jorunn and I are so happy to hear that you enjoy the podcast, thank you 🙂 It does take a bit of time to understand the system and then apply it to how we choose colours. Big payoff though, as you know. To purchase the book, if you could email me at christine@12blueprints.com, we can make all the arrangements. It’s easily done, perhaps worth mentioning that Air Mail, No Tracking to the EU costs around CN46.00. If you’re OK with that, please go ahead and email me and we’ll take it from there.

Sometimes I feel out of place when it comes to summer “personalities.” I’m not calm or delicate, on quietly strong. ? There’s nothing quiet about me! I’m a SSu (who leans toward SA), but there isn’t much soft or quiet about my personality. I just like fun! I’d probably qualify myself as a spring if we were going by personality types. But, Lord knows, my skins couldn’t handle those colors ?

    • Jorunn Hernes says:

Hello Mandy, and thank you so much for bringing up this topic! It really is interesting to discuss if there is a connection between colouring and personality, and speaking for myself, reading your comment reminded me that we should be careful of talking too much about being a certain personality as connected to your Colour Tone. As humans, we love to connect dots and make things fit into neat compartments, and where there is a tendency for a connection, we grab it with both hands and trot along happily with it. And when we see examples that fit our preconceived notions, we’re quick to brandish those as “evidence”. But there is no need to feel like we have to fit into a particular personality mould just because our skin has the colouring of a certain Season. So Mandy, feel free to be your strong, fun-loving, bubbly, vivacious self in beautiful Soft Summer colours! And I’m so glad you brought this up.

I am so happy to have discovered Sci/art and your fantastic podcasts and blog. I have been declared to be 3 different seasons, and actually one told me I could wear all the colours as I was so difficult. I was so unhappy and confused. I follow Jennifer and when she introduced us to you, I read everything I could about the system and felt a weight lift. I found Lisa who is 6 hours away, and booked a session with her for early April and can hardly wait. After all that I have read, I have a suspicion of what I may be, but will wait to find out and finally move on with what is my best me for the rest of my life. Funny story, one told me a season, and when I told her I thought that there were a couple colours that I was so unsure of, she turned and said, well then you must be this, and handed me a totally different set of colours. This is why I am so excited for this new chapter. Thank you.

We hear many women share experiences like yours and Jennifer’s. Good on you to see these situations with some humour and recognize that you have alternatives. I look for the grain of truth in stories but in yours, it’s well concealed 🙂 Maybe to practice discernment and gain perspective on colour analysis.
How exciting that you’ll be seeing Lisa and that you’ll have an answer confirmed. All of us who have walked this path respect anyone who keeps going. The line of progress always has bumps and yet you (we) keep moving towards the future we hope to have. Very best wishes for your PCA experience and Season answer!
