In harmony with nature

I’ve always been a lover of colour in nature – I’m the person whose back everybody is bumping into when I suddenly stop to admire clouds, trees, flowers or the sunset. Perhaps this is why I was so taken with colour analysis from the moment I first heard about it. The idea of the link between us humans and the seasons in nature was just irresistible to me.

Fashion and the emphasis on an individual’s freedom of choice can make us forget that our appearance is largely determined by inherited genes. When we repeat our own colours and lines in our clothing and accessories (including hair and any makeup you may choose to wear), we not only look our best (radiant, healthy, more graceful) but also feel right. The feeling of normalcy and naturalness comes from not having your natural appearance distorted in any way.

Have you ever felt like you look best wrapped in a towel after a shower? I used to have this feeling. It was probably due to the minimal distortion of colour and line near my face. As soon as I started to create a “look” with clothes and makeup, I suddenly looked tired, boring, somehow pinched or strained. Now I know I was wearing the wrong colours and styles, which made me “the invisible woman”. Understanding this has actually been more valuable to me than anything else about Personal Colour Analysis or Body Line Analysis, because instead of wondering “why is this happening” I know why it’s happening and also how to fix it. Knowledge is power!

COLOUR and line

Personal Colour and Body Line Analyses have many levels of engagement for different needs:

– Some just want to sort their looks out quickly in order to focus on other things in life.

– Others enjoy experimenting and finding their sweet spot (or several looks) within their colour Season and Image Archetype.

– Yet others see these services as tools to improve their self-knowledge and well-being.

– This is also the lazy woman’s (or man’s) way to look good, as wearing the right colours and lines makes you look your best in a natural way, without time-consuming gimmicks that require a lot of upkeep.

What I hear from my clients during an appointment most often is:

“I wish I’d done this sooner!”

“I didn’t realise this would help me in so many ways!” (not only with clothing but also make-up, etc.)

I was trained as a 12 Blueprints analyst in 2013. Currently, I see Colour and Body Line Analysis clients in Espoo. Body Line Analysis can also be done virtually. Visit my website for further details and please contact me if you have any questions!
